CAMPUS BROADCAST (Launching Fall 2010)
Notification System
Providing the ability to send notifications to interested parties is an important component of any card system. Campus Broadcast is a programmable system-wide notification service for your entire campus operation. Notifications can be delivered to anyone in the system via either email, text message* or both. The Campus Broadcast Notification System comes with a standard notification program set. Schools have the option of ordering custom notification programs based on their specific needs. Examples of some of the included notifications are:
- Stolen ID card – Once reported as lost or stolen, the cardholder can be alerted if and when their card gets used.
- Low card balance – Cardholder can be alerted when their debit account reaches a certain threshold limit.
- Low meal plan – Cardholder can be alerted when their number of meal plans available reaches a certain threshold limit.
- Track spending – A manager or staff can be notified when an account has reached a certain dollar amount in sales within a 24-hour period.
- Reader offline – A manager or administrator can be notified if a reader goes offline.
- Fees & Fines – Cardholders can be alerted if they owe a fee or fine.
- Accidental shut down of POS – Manager can be alerted if the POS gets shut down and does not complete its overnight processes.
- Equipment Check Out – Cardholders can be alerted if they go over their time limit when checking out equipment, or be sent a reminder for example that their item is due back in ten minutes, etc.
- POS operator change – Select personnel can be notified if an operator or even manager logs in to a SurePOS.
- Track unauthorized charges – A manager or administrator can be alerted if a single dollar transaction exceeds a specified amount.
