CAMPUS CENTER
Campus Life Services
NVN’s web-based Campus Center is seamlessly integrated into the CampusONE One Card suite. Functioning as an online card office, Campus Center greatly enhances service to cardholders while drastically cutting administrative costs. Used to its fullest, Campus Center can practically eliminate inconvenient lines on your campus by placing those functions on the Internet and in the hands of cardholders. Far more than an account lookup tool, Campus Center’s features include:
- Manage Accounts
Cardholders can view account balances, transaction history and transfer funds between accounts. Parents can add funds to accounts instantly using any major credit card over a secure connection. Support for Touchnet and Payflow Pro is included. - Fees & Fines
Cardholders can view and pay any outstanding fines using their declining balance account. Also, administrators can organize and control any fees for cardholders to easily purchase. - Place Card On Hold
This feature allows a cardholder to simply log onto Campus Center from any computer with Internet access and place their card on hold. This is crucial if a cardholder’s ID card is misplaced or stolen. iAMECS Advanced automatically stops the card from working in the event someone else tries to use it. - Reissue Lost Cards
With Campus Center, reissuing a lost card is as easy as point and click. The reissue is immediate, and the card prints automatically in the card production office. Since Campus Center can be used on the Internet, the reissue can be made from anywhere in the world. - Campus Wide Laser Printer Control
Campus Center uses an account-based system to control access to campus printers by giving cardholders a dedicated printer account at the start of the year. Cardholders may add to the account directly through Campus Center using their declining balance accounts. Printer usage can be controlled by designating specific groups access to individual printers. Campus Center keeps operational costs down by not using card readers or expensive software to control laser printing. - Box Office
Box Office event manager removes the labor involved in managing ticket sales and events. Tickets can be bought or seats reserved directly from Campus Center, eliminating the need to print paper tickets. Funds can be deducted from any approved declining balance account, and ticket sales are passed instantly to iAMECS Advanced. When an event ends, Box Office automatically removes the listing. - Issue Parking Permits
With Campus Center, cardholders no longer need to stand in line for parking permits. They can be issued from any Internet location. - Voting and Surveys
We’ve taken all the work out of college voting. Campus Center easily manages complex voting and survey situations involving an unlimited number of specialized groups. Votes can be multiple choice or yes/no, and since the actual tally can be displayed at the end of the voting period, posting results is not needed. - Shopper
An integral component of campus center, Shopper gives cardholders the ability to make remote purchases from on and off campus vendors without the need for additional hardware at the vendor location. Cardholders view the vendor page(s) in Shopper, select the desired items and choose the method of payment (iAMECS Advanced account or credit card). When the transaction is confirmed the vendor receives an email and/or a fax with the order details. The order contains the selected items, along with the PLU or SKU barcode, the cardholder’s video image, name, etc. Shopper can be used for things like express take out in a café, supplies from IT, and even for charities and fundraising. - Who’s Who
A powerful directory of everyone on campus: students, faculty, and staff. Who’s Who contains the cardholder’s name, major or department, e-mail address, biographical information and a picture. Users can edit any part of the entry at any time. They have the option to display their picture and can delete themselves from Who’s Who at any time. Who’s Who also has a powerful search engine that allows for search of someone using any field. Who’s Who entries can also be tied into campus voting (see above). - Campus Map
Simply describe the locations of buildings on your current campus map and Campus Center automatically builds an image map for your college. Click on a building and the description and photos pop up. Campus Map can also show live pictures (updated every minute.) Using Campus Map makes it easy to provide live shots from anywhere on campus. Point a camera on the line in your cafeteria and this will quickly become the most valuable feature in Campus Center. - Help Desk
Campus Center provides an easy solution to the constant changes made to on-line help systems. Help Desk allows cardholders easy access to common problems and frequently asked questions sections. IT, housekeeping, student services, campus security and others can post answers to common questions and problem. Cardholders can also submit service requests through Campus Center. These could be requests for IT service or help, housekeeping requests, or even requests for faculty and staff supplies. - Advertising Manager
Advertising is a major part of Campus Center, and now the school can create revenue using Advertising Manager. Most informational pages allow the administrator to place a graphic and link at the bottom of the page. Now different departments can advertise events, or ads can be sold to outside companies or partners (or even outside departments.) Advertising Manager allows the date to be set when the advertisement or advertising contract expires. The advertisement is automatically dropped from Campus Center when it expires.
