As part of SunGard Higher Education’s new Certification program, the NuVision Network has been officially certified as a real-time integration partner with the CampusONE One Card system. NuVision was the first One Card system to be chosen as a “Member of the Collaborative” and is now the first company to achieve Integration Certification for their CampusONE integration to Banner Digital Campus. This certified integration enables institutions to in essence control their One Card system from Banner.

From SunGard’s press release on the integration certification:

To earn integration certification, Collaborative member companies must follow a specified process and meet development requirements, followed by a review and test procedure. Partners earn integration certification recognition for each product and version that passes the testing.

“Our Open Digital Campus strategy helps institutions extend their unique digital campuses with the products, applications and other tools that best meet the needs of their constituents,” said Jim Bean, vice president, business development at SunGard Higher Education. “While this flexibility presents a tremendous opportunity, it can also present an integration challenge. Our integration certification program helps replace guesswork with confidence when customers choose solutions by distinguishing those Collaborative partners that have met our integration criteria, have passed review and testing, and have been awarded certified status for particular products. Using certified solutions can help customers shorten implementation times, lower integration costs, and achieve better compatibility using our solutions.”

GAITHERSBURG, Md., April 9, 2010 — Off Campus Solutions, Inc. and NuVision Networks (CA) recently announced a partnership to increase the community experience for students and to expand dining-service options while creating additional revenue for campus clients.

This agreement makes Off Campus Solutions the exclusive provider of off campus commerce programs for institutions that utilize NuVision Networks as their “One Card” transaction system. The new partners have teamed up to provide highly customized programs, such as multiple accounts on a single card.

“This partnership is an excellent opportunity for NuVision to expand the services we offer to our existing and prospective customers,” said Bill Adoff, president of NuVision Networks. “We see many schools that are hesitant to implement an off-campus program simply due to a lack of time or personnel. Off Campus Solutions provides a solution that uses little resources from the college, yet creates a significant impact on student life and town and gown relationships.”

An off-campus program utilizes a declining balance account associated with the school’s identification card and allows customers and cardholders to make purchases at participating off-campus merchants, in addition to the existing on-campus capabilities of the card.

“We believe that in order to provide a quality off campus commerce program, it needs to reside with on-campus dining and our new partnership provides that important link,” added Monte Pedersen, president of Off Campus Solutions. “NuVision Networks stands out because of its cost structure and innovative technological solutions and together, we can continue to expand services to increase client satisfaction.”

About Off Campus Solutions, Inc.

A subsidiary of Sodexo, OCS is a marketing and customer service company whose medium of exchange is a “stored value system” and remains as the industry’s only company capable of working with any transaction system. This cashless system provides opportunity for college or university students, faculty and staff the ability to access goods and services, both at on campus locations and local retail merchants, through a prepaid account associated with the school.

NAPA, CA, March 28, 2010 – Jenzabar®, Inc., a leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education, announced today a partnership with NuVision Networks, Corp., a provider of campus card operations for higher education institutions.

Critical technologies, such as the Jenzabar enterprise resource planning and One Card systems, that are used to manage the day-to-day workings of a college or university campus, cannot work independently. Almost every element of student, staff, and visitor activities on campus are either defined by the Jenzabar system or managed by the CampusONE system. Combining the power of these technologies will provide an efficient and cost-effective campus card solution for higher education institutions.

“NuVision Networks has the same vision as Jenzabar to help customers optimize business processes and cut operating costs,” said Robert A. Maginn, Jr., Jenzabar Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “This partnership will extend our technology and services to clients, and provide them with a seamless and trouble-free card system that includes integrated data from their Jenzabar ERP system.”

The CampusONE system will produce the identification cards, control building access, manage individual meal plan requirements, handle subsidiary individual accounts, manage events, and track usages. The Jenzabar administrative system will define what goes on the cards, determine the logic in managing building access, and provide billing and overall financial data. The two companies will leverage their technologies to form one cohesive process that will help reduce workload and improve overall client needs.

“This partnership will help create great opportunities for our joint clients looking to increase productivity,” said William Adoff, President of NuVision Networks. “I look to the future when many of the simple day-to-day One Card activities will be provided directly through the Jenzabar system.”

As the partnership progresses, Jenzabar and NuVision Networks will develop an even stronger alliance between the two functions to create a virtual single operation from the user’s vantage point.

NuVision Networks Introduces The First Touchscreen Activity Card Reader In The Industry

NAPA, CA, February 8, 2010 – One Card system solution provider NuVision Networks introduces the Tempest Reader for use in college and university campus card operations.

The Tempest Reader is the first and only fully touchscreen card reader designed exclusively for use in colleges and universities. The Tempest retains all of the functionality of a traditional activity reader such as attendance, access privileges, equipment check out, status verifications, cash/debit/meal plan transactions, age verification, account lookup, while introducing new features. New features include: product movement, audible ‘error’ prompts, and the ability to display the cardholder’s picture on the check out screen.

NuVision Networks chose a touchscreen for their latest reader in response to the demands and expectations of students and staff now accustomed to simpler and more efficient processes. “The use of interactive touchscreen menus not only allow for easier navigation, less mistakes, and a more attractive product,” says Bob Roth, Director of Engineering for NuVision, “but now we also have the ability to display the student’s picture right on the screen which greatly enhances the security.”

Other noted benefits of the Tempest include:

an advanced, web-based configuration, making it unnecessary to go to each physical machine to configure and update

ability to customize account names and the accounts that are displayed on the unit

simple “iPhone-like” swipe navigation

can be fitted for contactless acceptance
